Certificates

Materials & Structures Research Center activities are based on a policy of providing high quality services. Numerous certificates assure professional practice and high quality of laboratories’ work.

ISO

The Quality Management System implemented at the Institute of Aviation meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 in the field of: research, laboratory tests, design and production in the field of aviation and related fields.

The high quality actions of the Institute of Aviation is ensured thanks to the implementation of the Quality Management System, which guarantees that all the fulfilled works are planned, supervised and documented and that all the requirements agreed under contracts are fulfilled and fully correspond with the client’s demands. The Quality Management System is compliant with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO 9001:2009 standard.

PCA

In march 2007 Materials & Structures Research Center was certified by Polish Centre for Accreditation and achieved Accreditation Certificate of Testing Laboratory No AB 792 (Scope of Accreditation No AB 792) in compliance with the requirements of the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 Standard. Based on this certificate Materials Testing Laboratory obtained the highest qualifications to carry out fatigue strength and creep tests while Structural Testing Laboratory received such qualifications in the scope of static, quasi-static and dynamic strength tests under the condition of complex loads and vibrations between 1 and 10000 Hz. At the begining of 2011 Materials & Structures Laboratories has extended scope of accreditation with mechanical testing method – static tension at room and elevated temperature and nondestructive testing methods: visual, penetrant, magnetic, ultrasonic and eddy current.

Materials & Structures Research Center also holds certificates granted by clients that validate high quality of provided services.

ACE

In September 2010 MSRC achieved the Silver level in the ACE Quality System (Achieving Competitive Excellence) applied in United Technologies Corporation. It’s the second level in the three-level system of the organization management and business culture. The ACE guarantees improvements of quality and work efficiency through proper processes and values management and creation of the work environment that eliminates potential irregularities and wastes. Former Bronze level had been achieved in 2008. The next challenge for M&SRC is to reach the highest, Gold level.

P&W

In the years 2005 – 2008, Pratt & Whitney, a company which MSRC has continuously cooperated with since 2004, granted our laboratories certificates in scope of mechanical and components tests. Certificates granted in perpetuity concern: Creep Rupture Testing – February 2005 and January 2008, Tension/Torsion Shaft LCF Testing – December 2006, Tube LCF Testing – December 2006, Windmill Fan Blade Testing – December 2006, High Cycle Fatigue Testing – February 2008, Low Cycle Fatigue Testing – February 2008.

GE

In 2016 Materials Test Laboratory renewed the S-400 certificate for ultimate strength, fatigue and creep testing, granted by General Electric in 2007. Having obtained the certificate the laboratory continues conducting such tests as strain-controlled low cycle fatigue testing (SCLCF) at high temperatures.
