The Materials & Structures Research Center (MSRC) has been founded in the framework of the offset program connected with purchase of American fighter aircraft F-16 for the Polish Air Force. The reason for place so reliable and important tests at the Institute of Aviation was its many years’ experience in this area of activity. The tests of aviation materials and structures have been performed at the Institute of Aviation since the beginning of its activity in 1926.
The MSRC started to work in December 2004. Since this time, it has performed a variety of material and structural tests for the world’s leading manufacturers of aircraft and engines.
