On 11^th of October, 2013 at Military Technical Academy there was a ceremonial meeting, organized on the occasion of National Education Day. During the ceremony Rector-Commandant of Military Technical Academy, Gen. Brig. Prof. Assoc. Eng. Zygmunt Mierczyk, personally handed out diplomas of Rector’s Award Competition for scientific and didactic achievements in 2012/2013 academic year.

Among the laureates there was also the team of authors, who has developed and published a two-volume academic handbook “Aircraft powerplants”, edited by Prof. Assoc. Eng. Stefan Szczeciński. The team consisted of specialists and researchers, among other from the Institute of Aviation:
